Since Windows XP's activation prevents you from logging in since ISO created after 60 days, you will face login issues like this screenshot.
This is a limitation for Windows XP MCE specifically that there is no Volume License edition of it.
Therefore, you must activate the system before you can continue setup.
Restart your system and press Enter, spam F8 quickily, then choose Safe mode with Command Prompt.
Or simply you can force reset while XP is booting.
This will bypass WPA temporally and lets you activate.
If prompted dialog, click Yes on this dialog.
In VMware, you'll hear a LOUD BEEP sound, don't be scared and just click Yes.
Run xp_activate32.exe through cmd.
Click Get from the system, then click Store to the system.
Once it says Successful activation, restart your system by typing shutdown -r -t 00 -f.
Done! Now continue to setup.
